A Few Thoughts
So if all of you imaginary people don't mind. I might fill this with some of my thoughts about God. About bible passages and what I am thinking about them.
These things you have done, and I have been silent;
you thought that I was one like yourself.
But now I rebuke you and lay the charge before you. (Psalm 50:21)
This passage cut to my heart. God says. "You thought I was like you, but now I will rebuke you."
How many times have a I done this? Many times I have underestimated the power and majesty of God; By viewing him through a telescope that is really focused on myself. I think I have often made God too small, by focusing mainly on what he is doing for me, instead of keeping my eyes on who he really is, because when I catch a glimpse of the true fire of God, he is frighteningly beautiful. And I can't even think of turning my eyes back on myself. Consider me rebuked.
"Safe?" said Mr. Beaver."Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you." -C.S Lewis- The Chronicles of Narnia
